Family

The family is a place where we hope to feel loved, nurtured, and supported. This family unit can be composed of a variety of people, and that means the dynamics can get quite complicated. Family dysfunctional themes can be painful and long lasting, but they don’t have to last forever.

During family therapy, the family meets with me in a safe, therapeutic environment where everyone has the opportunity to be heard. I am here to offer a unique insight as to why these situations are occurring, how they might be affecting everyone, and to help your family communicate and connect.

Family therapy can be useful following transitions that strain family relationships, including divorce or death of a loved one, mental health issues, including depression and substance abuse, and also everyday issues that impact the family dynamic.
